Medha developed Real Time Embedded Software for Safety Critical and Mission Critical applications. The development and testing methodology involved in the development of this type of software is rigorous. The software has to guarantee a fail-safe mechanism. In a given software system, if 50 per cent of the software is used for a controlling mechanism the rest of the software is used for ensuring the fail safety mechanism. This ensures that the software works always perfectly well and if at all it fails it will always fail on the right side and never on the wrong side.

For example, the software controlling signal lamps always display red when there is any failure. Power steering Embedded Software will output a No assist command in your car and thus disengage when it fails. The software has to be developed by engineers with strong understanding of Electronics, respective domain and then software, all three being equally important.
