Medha's Design Centre located at
Hyderabad, sprawling over 4 acres of land, well equipped with the facilities required for
the design and development of micro-processor based real time control equipment, power
electronics equipment and precision electro-mechanical equipment, consists of |
- A centrally air conditioned building occupying about 20,000
sqft area.
- Software development tools required for various micro
controllers/ micro processors used in the projects.
- Work stations equipped with the latest versions of CADSTAR
software for PCB layout design.
- Work stations equipped with the latest versions of AUTOCAD,
MECHANICAL DESKTOP and INVENTOR software for mechanical design.
- A Control Electronics Laboratory with sophisticated test
equipment for hardware development and testing.
- A Power Electronics Laboratory with sophisticated test
equipment for development and testing.
- Custom made Locomotive Simulators and other test facilities
for product development and testing.
- A well furnished library for the latest technical literature.
A network of computers is employed to develop software/
firmware, and to generate mechanical drawings and designs. Computer Aided Software
Engineering (CASE) tools are used to develop structured software programmes with
professional documentation at all levels.
Medha also offers design services to customers in embedded
control applications for end to end product development, which covers the entire spectrum
of activities between product concept and product launch, viz. system design, hardware
design including PCB layout design, Firmware development including high level design and
detail design, mechanical design, validation and verification services, and even sample
production for real time control equipment, in Railway, automobile and industrial sectors.
Strictly adhering to ISO 9001-2000 Quality Systems and
procedures, the Design Centre generates various drawings for each part, outlining details
for the raw materials and bought-out components, acceptance criteria for various parts and
sub-assemblies, testing and tuning procedures, acceptance and qualification test
procedures for the final assembly, designs and drawings for custom made tools, jigs,
fixtures and test Jigs, and the preparation of user manuals/maintenance manuals. Design
reviews are conducted at various stages of the development process by Medha's team of
expert engineers. Each product design is examined in the stages of conceptual design,
detailed design, development, testing, design validation, qualification testing and field
trials, and the appropriate documentation is generated at each stage. |

Hyderabad, sprawling over 8.5 acres of prime land in the heart of the industrial area. Its
team of experts tirelessly strive to manufacture products that meet international

| Incoming Material Inspection Facilities |
comprising more than 1,000 sqft of built up
area where all electronic components are tested for functional requirement, Passive
Burn-in and Active Burn-in. Test facilities include:
- Digital IC Tester
- Various standard test equipment like Oscilloscopes, Multi
meters, Function Generators, LCR meters, Frequency Counters, etc.
- Custom Made Jigs for Active Burn-in and functional testing.
- Temperature Chamber for Burn-in All mechanical items are
checked for dimensions, material quality and properties. Inspection facilities include:
- Gear Rolling Tester
- Plating Thickness Measuring Instrument
- Electronic Comparator, and
- Air Gauges in addition to standard measuring equipment like
Micro Meters,
- computerised test simulators
- Custom made jigs for Active Burn-in
- Ageing Racks / Systems
In addition to various standard test equipment like Digital
Oscilloscopes, Multi meters, Function Generators, LCR meters, Frequency Counters, etc. |
| Assembly & Final Testing area |
| Comprising more than 10,000 sqft of built up
area for assembly and final testing of a wide variety of products. Assembly facilities
include special assembly tools, fixtures and a 20-tonne crane for handling heavy materials
and products. Final testing facilities include
custom-made benches with built in computerised test simulators for Active Burn-in and
ageing of the final product, in addition to various standard test equipment like Digital
Oscilloscopes, Multi meters, Function Generators, Frequency Counters, etc. |

consisting of more than 5,000 sqft of built up
area with the following facilities for manufacturing precision mechanical parts:

| Customer
Service |
| Medha lays great emphasis on Customer Service,
focusing on the areas of servicing, product support and customer training. All its
customer service functions are handled by its specially trained team of marketing
engineers and service engineers who work under the supervision of Executive Director
(Marketing).and reports from service engineers are reviewed periodically during
non-conformance reviews, which form the basis for design improvements of the product. As part of the process Medha imparts training to its customers by way of
- Conducting technical seminars at customer sites.
- Training of select people, who are responsible for regular
maintenance of the equipment, by the service engineers at customer sites.
- In-depth training at factory premises to the staff deputed by
the customer for the purpose.

| Electronics Manufacturing Services |
Medha has an in-house SMT facility for Assembly
of SMD components on PCBs. The facilities include a fully automatic High Speed Pick and
Place Machine, Semi-Automatic Stencil Printer and Multi zone IR Reflow Oven, and Wave
Soldering Machines. Medha has trained and qualified operators for the manufacturing
services area, and runs 3 shifts which give the ability to take up works on short notice
also. The complete facility is dust free and ESD protected. Some of the process controls
that the company employ to ensure consistency in quality are :
- ESD protected and dust free work area
- Use of only good quality soldering consumables made by reputed
manufacturers.
- Regular ESD audit of the work area
- Use of only temperature controlled Soldering stations which
are regularly Calibrated and their leakage voltages monitored
- Inspection at various stages during processing
