Manufacturing Unit

Medha has an in-house Manufacturing facility where our product designs are brought to life. At our Manufacturing Unit, our team of experts strives to manufacture products that meet international standards for quality and technology. All operations of finance, purchase, production, sales and human resources are facilitated by SAP ERP system to control the processes and availability of reliable data / reports.

We have been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certificate by American Quality Assessors accredited by ANAB and have established a reputation for quality products and excellent after sales service.


Our Manufacturing Unit is built with all the facilities required for the production of various precision electronic and electro-mechanical equipments. The control electronics and power electronics manufacturing facility is built on over 98,000 ft2 in area.


Our state-of-the-art Manufacturing Unit includes incoming material inspection facility, PCB assembly & testing area, assembly & final testing area and machine shop & fabrication shop to name a few.

 

Incoming material inspection facility, comprising of more than 2,800 ft2, is set up where all electronic components are tested for functional requirement, passive burn-in and active burn-in. Though all components are bought from internationally reputed distributors, as part of our Quality Assurance to our customers, most materials are inspected 100% and some materials are sampled for thorough inspection. Test facilities include:

  • Digital IC testers

  • Various standard test equipments like oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, LCR meters, frequency counters etc.

  • Custom made jigs for active burn-in and functional testing

  • Temperature chamber for burn-in

All mechanical items are checked for dimensions, material quality and properties. Inspection facilities include:

  • Gear rolling tester

  • Plating thickness measuring instrument

  • Electronic comparators

  • Air gauges

  • Our inspection facility also includes standard test equipment like micro meters, vernier calipers, thread guages etc.

PCB assembly and testing area, comprising of more than 14,400 ft2, includes facilities like: 

  • Automatic pick and place machine (model: TP9-UFP, Hydra spread mount) for surface mount devices (SMD)

  • Universal 6360E and 6241B model radial and axial automatic component insertion material, which can load the PCBs and components automatically at a rate of up to 10,000 components per hour

  • Light guided component insertion machine for leaded components

  • Wave soldering machines for leaded component soldering

  • Re-flow soldering machine for SMD component soldering

  • All the production areas equipped with ESD protection facilities are centrally air cooled with incoming air filtered to 30 microns level by the air handling units

 PCB level test facilities include:

  • Automatic Optical Inspection machine

  • Custom made test jigs for PCB testing

  • Custom made benches with built in computerised test simulators

  • Custom made jigs for active burn-in

  • Ageing racks / systems
  • In addition to these, our testing facility includes various standard test equipment like digital oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, LCR meters, frequency counters etc.

Assembly and final testing area, comprising of more than 22,600 ft2, is used for assembly and final testing of a wide variety of products. Assembly facilities include special assembly tools, fixtures, and a 20 ton crane for handling heavy materials and products.

Final testing facility includes custom made benches with built in computerised test simulators for active burn-in and ageing of the final product, in addition to various standard test equipment like digital oscilloscopes, multi meters, function generators, frequency counters etc.

Machine shop and fabrication shop, built in more than 6,300 ft2, includes the following facilities for manufacturing precision mechanical parts required for our equipment: 

  • Automated CNC milling and drilling machines

  • Semi-automated Lathe machines

  • DRO milling machine

  • Copy milling machine

  • Surface grinding machine

  • Bench and pillar type drilling machine

  • Pillar type fly press

  • Power press

  • Gear hobbing machine
